Activity Summary:
Little ones can make aquariums using paper plates, stickers and cellophane or plastic wrap.
What You Need:
•Two paper plates (you should cut the inner circle out of one of the plates)
•Fish and Shell Stickers
•Clear Confetti (for water bubbles)
•Fish Confetti
•Green Easter Grass
•Blue or Green or Clear Glad® Cling Wrap (or cellophane)
•Tape
•Scissors
•Stapler
What You Do:
- Take one of the two paper plates and cut out the inner circle of the plate.
- Take the stickers and stick them to the inside of the other paper plate.
- Add a pinch of both of the confetties to the paper plate with the stickers on it.
- Take a small amount of the green Easter grass and roll it in your hands, making it appear like sea weed. Add this to the paper plate with confetti and stickers.
- Tear off a piece of cling wrap and carefullly lay it over the uncut plate with all of the ingredients beneath.
- Carefully tape the cling wrap to the back of the plate.
- Now take the plate that you cut the inner hole from, and put on top of the other plate. This represents a port hole.
- Staple together the two plates. You now have a "Waterless Aquarium".
