Age: 2-5 years
Activity Summary:
Children can try to figure out what is inside the "egg" without looking. A guessing game.
What You Need:
•plastic eggs (or any container that will fit another item in and hide it)
•any small item to fit in the "egg" (items of different textures, weights, etc.)
What You Do:
- Place small objects into the eggs - I use cotton balls, legos, bells, pennies, small key, etc.
- Hide the eggs.
- Have the children find the eggs (environment awareness)
- When all have been found, have students go to "the circle area" and each child gets to shake the egg, feel the weight of the egg and pass it around for the others to do as well.
- They try to guess what the item is.
I work with 3-5 year olds and we had 20 eggs and they all sat through until the last one. It went very well and was a great hit.
