Activity Summary:
Little ones can create magical bottles with floating pictures.
What You Need:
•small plastic pop bottles
•baby oil
•water
•glitter, beads, confetti, etc.
•funnels
•pitchers with water
What You Do:
- Have parents donate plastic pop bottles.
- Clean bottles out, having enough for each child to have one.
- Using funnels, children fill bottles with various colors of glitter, beads, confetti or anything that looks interesting to the child.
- Children then pour water into the bottle, about 1/4 of the way and the teacher adds an ounce or two of the baby oil.
- Seal the top and watch the children manipulate the bottle to create all kinds of wonderful floating pictures!
